Has Aishwarya Rai got her calculations wrong? The ex miss world, who probably thought that her entry into Bachchan’s home was the solution to all her present and future problems, hasn’t had such a smooth sailing off-late as she probably expected it to be.Though, Aishwarya hoped that once she is a part of the Bachchan family, they will help to put her career on a new front, but that was not to be. On the very contrary, its Aishwarya, who has had to take the responsibility of reviving the sinking career of her husband Abhishek Bachchan. Sources point out that the reason why Aishwarya is signing more of international and Hollywood project these days than the Bollywood, is because she wants to avoid a situation where she is recognized as a more prominent star than her husband or has to compete with him in any way. It is extremely difficult to say whether her decision to go Hollywood way has helped her husband or not, but it has surely made life a little difficult for Aishwarya.The effects of her disappearing act from Bollywood has had a major impact on her popularity. Aishwarya, who was once the most downloaded Bollywood lead women on the internet, has now been replaced by Katrina Kaif. Alongside, Aishwarya is also loosing some of the major advertisements, which she has been endorsing for years.

If that was not enough, Aishwarya had to swallow the bitter pill when one of her co-star called her an old lady, who has no influence left in youth of this country. The culprit this time around was the new star kid on the Bollywood horizon,sonam kapoor , who recently was signed by a cosmetic company. When asked why she was roped in when Aishwarya was already a brand ambassador of the company, Sonam said, "I think we belong to two different generations and that’s why L’Oreal (the concerned company) has asked me to be a part of their brand.”

Certainly, the Bachchans who felt seriously offended when one of the lead actress of Bollywood remarked that Aishwarya was known only for her looks and not acting, are not likely to take these remarks too sportingly.But, the remarks of Aishwarya’s age have come to light because she is doing far too less number of films these days. May be, if she wants to stop these rumors from spreading, she needs to appear on screen in Bollywood a little more often.
