Though, Amitabh Bachchan tried his level best to bring about a change in his equation with Shahrukh Khan by visiting the King Khan after his recent shoulder surgery, it seems that Mr. Bachchan’s efforts haven’t been able to revive the sinking relation between the two superstars of Bollywood. And, whatever the two superstars may say in public, there are indications, which make the observers believe that the terms are not that good between the Banchans and Khan, as they are made out to be.

This came to light when Shahrukh Khan allegedly turned down the request made by Mr. Bachchan himself, asking the king Khan to be a part of and grace this year’s IIFA award function to be held in Macao.It needs to be remembered here that Mr Bachchan had made this request to Shahrukh Khan both in his capacity as the legendary Bolywood actor and the ambassador of IIFA.

In fact, many observers point out that Mr. Bachchans position as the ambassador of IIFA may be one of the major reasons behind Shahrukh’s decision to not attend the function. Shahrukh feels that since Mr. Bachchan holds a key position in IIFA, he may not get any attention at the function. But quite obviously, Shahrukh cannot afford to make this fear of his public in any way. So, when asked, Shahruk reportedly said that he is not in a position to attend the function because at that point time he has to shoot for Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan.

Putting to rest all the rumors that are being floating with regard to Shahrukh’s absence from IIFA, sources close to him said that Shahrukh’s commitments had even prevented him from returning to South Africa to watch the IPL.One thing, which even the organizers of IIFA know for sure is that Shahrukh’s presence makes a huge difference to any award function and that is why they had asked Mr. Bachchan to request Shahrukh to attend the function. But, since Shahrukh seems to have made up his mind, they have no choice but to do without him.
