Kareena Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar

Hindi film industry started its journey about eighty to ninety years back, it has had a unique fascination and liking for Indian literature. Films have been made on various books, which have been a part of Indian literature starting from the historic epic of Ramayna to some of the classics written by the best Indian writer of recent times Munshi Premchand. But, off-late some Bollywood film makers have changed this trend, which was on for decades by announcing an all-new love that they have now developed for western literature.

It all started with the young director vishal bhardaraj, who adapted two of Shakespeare’s plays ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Othello’ and made AkhtarMaqbool and Omkara respectively. Though Omkara hasn’t done all that badly either but Maqbool is considered to be one of classics of modern day cinema, which was loved both by the masses and the classes equally.

Now, sources in Bollywood suggest that impressed by Vishal Bhardwaj’s work in both Maqbool and Omkara, which has been widely praised, another young director sudhar misra has decided to adapt a Shakespeare’s play into a Hindi film.Sudhir Misra has now gone a step further as he plans to make a movie Shakespeare’s ultimate creation Hamlet. Sudhir, who has completed writing the script for this movie says that the storyline of the movie will revolve around a young man, to be played by Faran Akhatr, who is forced to join politics after the sudden death of his father.karina kapoor also been roped in to play the female lead in the movie.
