Genelia D’Souza

Genelia D’Souza is a big star down South in Andhra Pradesh’s Telgu film industry, she is still a latively new comer to the Bollywood. Despite the fact that her first film in Hindi ong>Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, which was released in 2008, was a major success at the Box Office, she has been rather slow in signing new projects in Mumbai. One of the major reasons for this slow pace may be that she has so much work down South that she doesn’t have time to even think of Bollywood. She proudly says that when it comes to the Telgu film industry, she has become such a big name that characters and films are actually written keeping her in mind. But, that doesn’t mean in any way that she is not open to Bollywood. So, recently, when she was offered a project called Yahoo, she quickly said yes to it. Says Genelia, “First, the film had a nice storyline and secondly, it was offered by the production house of my good friend Ken Ghosh, so there was no question of rejecting it.”

But, just as she signed Yahoo, she got the fright of her life. Genelia D’Souza was informed that the male lead opposite her in the film is going to be shahid kapoor“It’s my first film with Shahid Kapoor who is a phenomenal dancer. And, I’m nervous as hell at the thought of having to match steps with him”, said the young tress.

No, it is not as if Genelia is nervous to work with Shahid or she thinks he is a very big star as compared to her, but the problem is that since her character in the film is of a choreographer, she will need to match her dancing shoes with that of Shihid. Genelia feels that Shahid is a much better dancer than she is and it is oing to be quite a tough task for her to match his dancing skills.Oh, now you know who was the real Pappu, who could not dance in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. But, don’torry Genelia, if the storyline of this film is also as good as your first one, Bollywood fans may forgive you for your poor dance performance and make Yahoo a hit as well.
