WHEN you hear Akshay Kumar laughing irritatingly in a mobile company ad in between IPL match telecasts, you can't stop wondering if he's going all out to hide his pain of delivering back-to-back flops over the past year or so. You can actually feel his pain of box-office rejection in the never-ending laughter attack. The commercial has clearly boomeranged, so the cellphone company in question has pulled off the campaign now. It is high time Akshay realises that his novelty as a buffoon hero has waned. His 'unique' laughter worked when it did in a few nonsensical comedies, but with ticket windows seeing near-zilch collections for his films, it's time for Akki to redefine himself. And get rid of the laughter.
