Though film making is considered to be a team work, in Bollywood at least if a film is successful, surprisingly all the credit is taken away by the big stars, who do nothing apart from just doing what others ask them to do.This unfortunate truth was reconfirmed lately, when the entire credit of the success of Race, which was released in 2008, was taken away by one and only safi Ali khanNot many know that though the film was a major hit at the Box office, Ramesh Taurani, who produced Race had developed some major differences with the director duo of Abbas Mastan the making of the film and had actually made up his mind to change the director for the proposed sequel of the film. But, reports suggest that when Saif came to know about this, he personally contacted Taurani and argued that since the director duo in the past has had a tremendous record in directing thrillers and had given hits like Khiladi and Bazigar, they might be a good choice to direct another thriller in Race 2.If that was not enough, Saif has also managed to convince Taurani to change the script of the film as per his sweet convenience. Of course, to say the least, Saif has allegedly not only managed to get a role for his real life love interest karina kapoor in the film, but has got Bipasha basu exited from the sequel of Race. Even Katrina Kaif’s role in the sequel is said to have got cut down, just at the request of Saif Ali Khan.Lead ladies apart, what Taurani needs to remember that Race also had two other lead actors in the form of Anil kapoor and Akshya kumar , who equally contributed to the success of Race. If they both also come up with their sets of suggestions and demands before starting to shoot for the sequel, Race 2 may finish even before starting.
