Akshay Kumar always gets his way. He's arguably one of the hardest working actors in Bollywood, so what he says usually goes. When Akshay Kumar worked with Priyadarshan, however, it seemed like the superstar actor was getting the short end of the stick. In 2000's 'Hera Pheri', Akshay Kumar didn't even have a leading lady! That's why while Priyadarshan teased the actor to no end, Akshay Kumar made him promise that the next time they worked together, he would get to choose who his leading lady would be.

Well it's time for Priyadarshan to keep his end of the deal. Although he was reluctant, Akshay Kumar made his choice and that is--drumroll please--Katrina Kaif. The new movie that the duo will star in together is 'De Dana Dhan.' A source said "The two [Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar] worked together on 'Garam Masala', 'Bhagam Bhag' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', but for them Priyadarshan chose the girls. Then came 'De Dana Dhan.' Priyadarshan was desperately looking around for a heroine opposite Akshay, but was unable to find one. It was then that Akshay reminded him of the promise Priyadarshan had made him and insisted that they get Katrina on board. Initially, Priyadarshan had apprehensions about working with Katrina given her glamorous image. But once he worked with her, he was floored by her professionalism and kept thanking Akshay for recommending Katrina."It seems like it was a happy ending for everyone. Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar got to work together and Priyadarshan found a new actress to cast in future films. He said, "Akki did recommend Katrina and I am glad to be working with her.
