15th anniversary celebrations of Gitanjali

Gitanjali celebrated its 15th anniversary amidst much glamour and glitter with some of the top Bollywood stars dazzling on the ramp. Some of the notable celebrities who set the ramp afire included Salman Khan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, Sophie Choudhary, Sameera Reddy, Celina Jaitley, Raima Sen and Prachi Desai.

Bipasha Basu came up in a beige lehenga designed by Rocky S which was quite similar to the one she wore at the IIFA extravaganza. Raima, on the other hand, got to wear the same one which Bips wore at IIFA. The only difference being the dupatta on two shoulders. Celina appeared in a red bridal wear designed by Neeta Lulla. Imagine the hottest ladies of Bollywood in the hottest avatars as Charlie’s Angels kicking off the bad guys. Well, talking about super hot Mallika Sherawat, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu, no producer as yet has worked upon the idea of casting them in the desi version of ‘Charlie’s Angels’. It is the tweeting community on Twitter who have come up with this novel idea.

Sherawat and Chopra have been tweeting regularly on this social networking site and both have developed a sort of bonding with each other. Priyanka, for instance, has wished Mallika good luck for her upcoming film ‘Hisss’, whereas Sherawat praised Priyanka for her success in Bollywood.

Mallika, on her Twitter Page MallikaLA, wrote to Priyanka, “The Twitter people want us to do Charlie’s Angels. They said Bips also so we need to get her on Twitter. Gul (Panag) has a strong support too. Priyanka responded saying, “Sounds rocking!”

Still basking in the success of their Oscar-winning debut venture, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Dev Patel and Freida Pinto made an appearance on the stage before the Film4 Summer Screen screening of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ at Somerset House in London.The couple were so glued to each other all night that it seemed that they no longer cared anymore for keeping their romance under wraps. Insiders also have it that Dev has been paying visits to Freida’s London hotel. Freida is staying at The May Fair Hotel and, even though Dev doesn’t have a room there, he has been there constantly.

Rakhi Sawant to continue working post marriage

Rakhi Sawant is going to turn into Mrs. Rakhi Parujanwala on August 2 on the smaller screen. However, Rakhi has refused to quit work and join her Toronto based husband. Moreover, she would also not want her husband to quit work and become as ‘Gharjamai’. So, Toronto-based entrepreneur Elesh Parujanwala has decided to shift base to Mumbai from Toronto.

Speaking about his future plans, Elesh said, “There won’t be any need for a long-distance marriage, or for Rakhi to join me in Toronto. I’ve already shifted a part of my business from Toronto to Mumbai and I intend to stay put in Mumbai for a very long time.”

On his taking part in this reality show, Elesh explains, “At first I was skeptical. In fact I initially expressed my misgivings to the program’s creators. I didn’t want my children to one day ask me why I married their mom on a game show. But I’m glad I came on ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’. It isn’t a game, though it may be a show being watched by millions. For Rakhi and for me it’s a matter of life and death.””I used to watch Rakhi Sawant in her films and her music videos. At that time I never thought I’d one day be asking her hand for marriage. Life is funny,” he laughs.

Apparently, Rakhi’s brother Ravi Kishan helped and guided her in choosing Elesh over and above other contestants. Says Ravi Kishan, “Elesh always stood out. And I told Rakhi this. The less said about some of the other contestants the better. One of them Manmohan Tiwari had so much attitude, it was almost like he was trying to be the small screen’s Ravi Kishan. Sadly the channel encouraged him to behave the way he did, arguing that it enhanced the TRPs. He behaved very badly with Rakhi. He had a girlfriend tucked away all the time. Why was he wooing Rakhi then? I told her Elesh was the best guy for her.”

The movie revolves around the story of Yogesh Sharma (Harman Baweja) who wants to have a love marriage but due to circumstances, he is supposed to get married in ten day to prevent some disaster which his family may fall into.

As such he selects a girl from every zodiac sign and meets two girls every day and twelve in six days so that he can fall in love twelve times and find the best girl for himself. How things take a turn is a suspense to be discovered by the viewers themselves.
